The Backstory behind this website-

I went to Africa on a once in a lifetime trip this past september (2009) with my mother and sister and it was absolutely tremendous. So wonderful that I am already planning to go back when I can!

I really do not have the words to describe the trip, but fortunately I had my camera and video camera with me and have imagery to help. And that is the reason this website was created- I alone have SO many pictures (and some video) that it just doesn't make sense to print it out for everyone that is interested in seeing them!

A website is available to anyone with a computer and can be accessed anywhere there is a connection. Much easier for me....

The name of this site:

The driver we had at Mashatu is named Elvis, and he fit right in with our crowd (as did our tracker, Aaron) and we were all joking around while on game drives. One of the running jokes was about the wildlife we expected him to find for us every day: we kept trying to think of increasingly rare animals to see!

He finally told us that we were going to go find tigers.

No tigers in Africa, of course, except maybe in a zoo!

I loved Mashatu, and the time there was the BEST on a great trip, and there was never any doubt in my mind that the Mashatu Tiger would be a part of the website used to document this trip to Africa.

And the next one too.

The site is new and still very rough- I am figuring out where to put things and how to get them there, and there is little content so far....this will change in coming weeks and months, but hopefully it will be all done before I go back again.
